Charles Frederick Kip Winger is an American rock musician, a member of the rock band Winger, and a solo artist.
After being in and out of the music career, Kip Winger joined Alice Cooper’s band in 1985. Upon making two albums with Cooper, Winger left in March of 1987 to pursue a solo career, where he returned to New York and joined fellow artists Reb Beach, drummer Rod Morgenstein, and keyboard player Paul Taylor. The four would later be known as Sahara, before changing their band name to Winger several years later.
The band Winger released three albums before all venturing to solo careers.
In the mid-1990’s Kip Winger moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he worked and recorded three solo records. In 2002, Winger relocated once again to Nashville, Tennessee, and began working on his fourth solor record hitting the shelves in 2008.
Restless Heart is an American Country Music band established in 1984. The bands longest-lasting lineup has consisted of Larry Steward (lead vocals), John Dittrich (drums), Paul Gregg (bass guitar), Dave Innis (piano, keyboard, rhythm guitar), and Greg Jennings (lead guitar, mandolin). After releasing seven studio albums, the band disbanded in 1994, and remained on hiatus until 1998 when the original Restless Heart members, except Innis, reunited to record three new tracks for their second “Greatest Hits” compilation. This album also produced their top 40 country hit in five years, “No End to this Road”. After a year-long tour with Vince Gill and another year of dates on their own, Restless Heart went on hiatus once more.
The band reunited fully in 2004, returning Restless Heart to it’s complete original lineup. Having celebrated the bands 30th Anniversary in 2013, John Dittrich, Greg Jennings, Paul Gregg, Dave Innis, and Larry Stewart – the men who make up Restless Heart – have enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Country Music history, placing over 25 singles on the charts – with six consecutive #1 hits, four albums certified Gold by the RIAA, and a wide range of awards from across the board; including the Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Group.
